“Stone Cold” Steve Austin (Born December 18, 1964)
Steve Austin is a retired American wrestler and actor. In wrestling he used the name “Stone Cold Steve Austin”. He is one of the greatest pro wrestlers in History. He kick started the “Attitude Era” in WWE. Steve Austin is a six time WWE Champion. He is hailed by many as the greatest wrestler in WWE history. He made an appearance with The Rock and Hulk Hogan on WrestleMania XXX.
Steve Austin was born in Victoria Texas. He was born Steven James Anderson. Austin had a small stint with USWA in 1990. He was given the ring name Steve Austin at that time. He was nicknamed “Stunning” around that same time. Steve Austin Signed with WCW in 1991. He won many major titles with WCW including WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. He was fired by Eric Bischoff in 1995. Paul Heyman late contacted Austin to join Extreme Championship Wrestling. This is where he developed the “Stone Cold” persona that would become synonymous with him. He was asked to win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship but he refused. In 1996 Steve Austin Joined WWE as The Ringmaster. However, he did not like The Ringmaster gimmick and asked for a change of character. In 1996 he won the King of the Ring tournament. After beating Jake “the Snake” Roberts in the final he used the line “Well Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass.” That became one of his trademark catchphrases. He then started a year long feud with Bret “The Hitman” Hart. He won the Royal Rumble Match in 1997. That was the first of his three Royal Rumble Match wins. He then started his most famous feud with Mr. McMahon and became the anti-hero. He won the WWE Championship for the first time at WrestleMania XIV by defeating Shawn Michaels. He and Mike Tyson had a little showdown and later becoming allies. He later headlined WWE during the majority of the time during the acquisition of WCW. He later joined Triple H and McMahon to form the Two Man Power Trip. He then feuded with the Brothers of Destruction. He later had feud with NWO. He left the company in 2002 but came back in 2003. He faced with The Rock at WrestleMania XIX. This was his last match in WWE. He retired from wrestling due to his knee injuries. He appeared in WWE as a general manager, host and Legend from then on. Steve Austin kept his iconic beer drinking persona with him during all his time in WWE. The beer drinking badass is regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in history. He drank beer with the good guys in WWE and followed it up with a Stunner. His stunner is an epic wrestling moves ever. In 2009, Stone Cold Steve Austin was inducted into WWE Hall of Fame.
Steve Austin later had a successful movie career. He is only known to do action films. Nobody would pay to watch Austin do comedies. The badass wrestler continued to be badass in movies. He starred in The Longest Yard, The Expendables, Recoil and Maximum Conviction. In 2009, Steve Austin changed his name legally to Steve Austin. He is currently married to Kristin. He was previously married to Kathyryn Burrhus, Jeannie Clark and Debra Marshall.
