Mick Foley

Mick Foley is a retired American wrestler. He is known for his time with WWE. He worked under the ring names Mick Foley, Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind. He is regarded as the Hardcore Legend. Mick Foley is a 4 time World Champion. He is also an 11 time tag team champion. He was one of the main stars of WWE Attitude Era.

Mick Foley was born in Bloomington, Indiana. He was school friends with actor Kevin James. He wrestled alongside Kevin James in High School. Mick Foley was a fan of Jimmy Snuka. Watching Jimmy Snuka wrestle inspired him to pursue a career in professional wrestling. He joined WCW in 1991. He debuted as Cactus Jack and attacked Sting. He had a major feud with Vader during his time. He was involved in some of the most brutal matches of his career there. He lost an ear in one of those matches. Mick Foley later left WCW and joined ECW in 1995. After a little stint with ECW he signed a contract with WWE. He appeared in WWE as a deranged psychotic masked man in 1996. Mick Foley’s first major feud in WWE was with The Undertaker. They fought multiple times during that feud. The Undertaker’s manager Paul Bearer turned on him for Mankind. Their feud ended after a buried alive, boiler room brawl and a normal match. Vince then made Mick Foley use his other characters Dude Love and Cactus Jack in the next year. Dude Love became the tag champion with Stone Cold Steve Austin. In that year’s Royal Rumble match Mick Foley appeared three times as Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack. In 1998, Mick Foley concluded his rivalry with The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell Match. This match has been noted to be on of pro wrestling’s greatest and the most dangerous match in history. Mankind was thrown from the top of the cell into the announce table. He came back right up and suffered another fall through the cell as Taker chokeslamed him. Their rivalry ended with Taker winning this epic match. Mick Foley was heavily injured and could not remember most of the events in the match. Vince McMahon personally requested Mick Foley to never try anything like that again. The Undertaker himself admitted that he thought Mick was dead after the second fall. He thought about retiring after this match. His retirement came after in 2000. But before that he defeated The Rock for the WWE Championship. Their feud was one of the best feuds in the attitude era. He won his third WWE championship against Austin and Triple H in a triple threat match. Mick Foley lost the title next night to Triple H. He again lost a match and was forced to retire as a stipulation. He wrestled one more match at WrestleMania in 2000. After that he retired and had non wrestling appearances time to time. He later joined TNA in 2008. In 2009, he defeated sting for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He lost the tile to Kurt Angle. He was inducted into WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Mick Foley always had a hardcore style to his wrestling. Mankind was a psycho character who loved to inflict pain on others and on his own body. Cactus Jack was a street fighter. Dude Love was used as a comedy effect most of the time. He is father two four children, 3 boys and a girl. His daughter Noelle Foley is an aspiring wrestler.
