Muhammad Ali is an retired American boxer. He is regarded as the greatest boxer of all time by many fans and critics. He is regarded as one of the greatest sportspeople of the last century. He is an international icon. He is a former Heavyweight champion and also Olympic Gold Medalist.

Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. was born on January 17, 1942 in Kentucky, USA. He started boxing at a young age. He had an impressive amateur career. In 1960, he won the Olympic Gold medal in Light Heavyweight division. Muhammad Ali was involved in several historic boxing matches. Notable among these were the first Liston fight, three with rival Joe Frazier, and one with George Foreman, where he regained titles he had been stripped of seven years earlier.

Muhammad Ali first converted to Islam in 1964 after winning his first world title. He joined Nation of Islam led my Malcolm X. He later converted to Sunni Islam in 1975. His daughter Laila Ali is a professional boxer and currently undefeated.
