Lennox Lewis

Lennox Lewis is a retired British-Canadian professional boxer. He is a former Olympic Gold Medalist. He is the last the undisputed world heavyweight champion. Lewis is regarded by many as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, and also as the greatest British fighter of all time.

Lennox Lewis was born on September 2, 1965 in London, England. His parents are from Jamaica. He moved to Canada when he was 12. He played canadian football, football and Basketball in high school. In 1988, he won the Olympic Gold Medal.On 14 December 1992, the WBC declared Lewis its champion, making him the first world heavyweight titleholder from Britain in the 20th century. He lost the title to Oliver McCall in 1994. He later defeated Oliver to regain his title. In 1999 he defeated Evander Holyfield to become the Undisputed champion. On 8 June 2002, Lewis defended his title against Mike Tyson.

Along with Gene Tunney and Rocky Marciano, Lennox Lewis is one of three world heavyweight champions to have retired with no unavenged defeats. He had 44 professional fights winning 41 of them and lost only twice. He had 31 knock outs in those fights. He married Violet Chang, a former Miss Jamaica runner-up. They have four children.
