Dulquer Salmaan also known as DQ, is popular Indian film actor who predominantly appears in Malayalam films. He is the younger son of Legendary Malayalam actor Mammootty.
Salman is the second child of actor Mammootty and his wife Sulfath. He was born 28 July, 1986 in Kochi, Kerala, India. He has an elder sister, Surumi.
Salman studied in Kerala till primary classes and completed his secondary level education from Sishya School in Chennai. He got his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Purdue University in USA. After graduate he moved to Dubai to do business. He later decided to starting a career in film industry. He attended a three-month course at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.
Career of Dulquer Salman
In 2011, Salmaan signed his first movie Second Show released in 2012. However, the film was commercially successful and won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His second film Ustad Hotel (2012) was also commercially. After that he appeared in commercially successful movies like ABCD (2013), Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (2013), Bangalore Days (2014), Vikramadithyan (2014), O Kadhal Kanmani (2015) and Charlie (2015). All these successful movies made him established as a lead actor in the industry.
He has also been involved in several social service activities.
Personal life of Dulquer Salman
Dulquer Salman married Chennai-based architect Amal Sufiya, on 22 December 2011. Salmaan & Sufiya have been blessed with a daughter on 5th May 2017.
