Andrew Bogut is an Australian professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. He is the first Australian player to be drafted number one overall.
Andrew Bogut was born on 28 November, 1984 in Melbourne, Australia. He was raised in Melbourne. Bogut was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the first overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft. He played in all 82 regular season games for the Bucks in his first season, averaging 9.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. As a rookie in 2005–06, he earned All-Rookie First Team honours and finished third in votes for the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. On 13 March 2012, Bogut and Stephen Jackson were traded to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown. He won the 2015 NBA Finals With the Warriors.
