Lucy Lawless is an New Zealand born actress. She is best known for portraying the role of Xena in the famous TV Series Xena: The Warrior Princess. She is also known for portraying Lucretia in Spartacus series.
Lucy Lawless was born on March 29, 1968 in New Zealand. Her birth name is Lucille Frances “Lucy” Ryan. She has four brothers and one sister. At the age of 21 she won the 1989 Mrs New Zealand competition. In 1994, Lawless appeared in Hercules and the Amazon Women.
She played multiple roles in the series Hercules The Amazing Journeys. But her character portrayal of Xena was so popular that it received a spinoff series. She played Xena in six seasons of Xena: The Warrior Princess. She played the role of Lucreita in Spartacus series and currently has a recurring role in Ash vs Evil Dead.
Lucy Lawless married Gareth Lawless after getting pregnant. She was 19 years old at the time. They divorced in 1995. On 28 March 1998, Lawless married Robert Tapert. They have two sons.
