Jared Drake Bell, commonly referred as Drake Bell, is an American actor, voice actor, singer-songwriter, comedian, record producer, occasional television director and multi-instrumentalist.
Jared was born on June 27, 1986 in Newport Beach, California. He started off his career as a child actor in the early 1990s by starring in television shows and commercials. Jared became hugely known for his starring roles on Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show, and its spin-off, Drake & Josh. He had also given voice over in the animated series, Ultimate Spider Man and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as well as Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Avengers Assemble and the Phineas.
In 2005, Jared released a debut album, Telegraph, under his own name thus officially entering a career in music as well. His second album, It’s Only Time debuted at #81 on the Billboard 200, selling over 23,000 copies its first week of release. In 2014, Bell released his third album, Ready Steady Go!, which debuted at #182 on the Billboard 200, and sold 2,000 copies in its first week of release. Jared has described his music as being heavily influenced by The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Brian Setzer.
Jared filed for bankruptcy in California in 2014 and his house of $2,050,000 was taken in foreclosure. On December 21, 2015, he was arrested for suspicion of DUI and was released on $20,000 bail. Jared was charged with his second DUI in January 2016, and could face up to a maximum of a year in a county jail, for it is his second offense within 10 years. His license was also suspended and he appeared in court on March 21, 2016.
