Adrien Brody is a film and stage actor. He appeared in numerous films. He is mostly famous for his role as a Jewish pianist in the film The Pianist (2002). Brody is also the youngest oscar winner for all time.
Adrien Brody was born in New York on 14 April 1973. His father Elliot Brody was a history professor and mother Sylvia Plachy was a photojournalist. He showed his creativity in his childhood first while helping his mother working with her. His parents admitted him into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He performed some stage performances and magic shows as a child. He went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia high School of Music and Art. After high school education, he studied at Stony Brook university.
Brody’s films of the first phase like Drama King of the Hill (1993), Angels in Outfield (1994), The Last Time I Committed Suicide (1997) could not bring him true stardom. In 2002 Roman Polanski cast him in his new movie The Pianist as a famous Jewish musician in German-occupied Poland. His style of acting in this movie was so attracting and powerful that he won an Academy Award for best actor. He became the younger Oscar winner actor in Hollywood and fortunately became a great star overnight.
Adrien Brody acted in some other films after winning oscar prize. He appeared in Dummy (2003) as a ventriloquist. Adrien Brody also performed as a disabled man in The Village (2003). He also devoted himself in The Jacket (2005) and the King Kong (2005), Hollywoodland (2006), Splice (2010) and Predators (2010), Midnight in Paris (2011).
Adrien Brody performed in a History Channel miniseries Houdini as the great magician Harry Houdini. He won the Emmy and the Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for his performance. Besides acting, Brody also worked as director and producer. He showed his creativity in his artwork ‘Tiger on Last Legs’ earned huge fame amongst the critics.
In personal life, Brody’s girlfriend was Spanish actress Elsa Pataky until 2009. Lara Lieto became his girlfriend in 2013.
