Linda McMahon

Linda McMahon is an american Business woman and Politician. She is best known for being the former CEO of WWE from 1982 to 2009. She was involved in many wrestling story lines in WWE. She twice ran for a seat in US Senate.

Linda McMahon was born on October 4, 1948 in North Carolina, USA. Her birth name is Linda Marie Edwards. She is the daughter of Henry and Evelyn Edwards. She at the age of 13, met Vince McMahon, then 16. They dated throughout high school. They married when she was 17 in 1966. Shane McMahon was born in 1970 and Stephanie McMahon was born in 1976. She along with her husband Vince took WWE from a regional promotion to the golbal phenomenon it is today.

She left WWE in 2009 to run unsuccessfully for a seat in the United States Senate from Connecticut, losing to Democratic Party nominee Richard Blumenthal in the general election of 2010. McMahon was the 2012 Republican nominee for Connecticut’s other Senate seat to replace retiring Senator Joe Lieberman in the general election in November 2012, but lost again, this time to Democratic Representative Chris Murphy.
