Bret “The Hitman” Hart is a retired Canadian professional wrestler. Bret hart is popular with fans as “the hitman”. He had an illustrious career with both WWE and WCW. Bret Hart is regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in History. He had success both as a single wrestler and a tag team specialist. He is seven time world champion. He won both the WWE Championship and WCW World Heavyweight Championship. he is also a monumental figure in wrestling industry for the incident “Montreal Screwjob”.

Bret was born on July 2, 1957. His full name is Bret Sergeant Hart. Bret Hart was born into a wrestling family in Calgary, Canada. He is a member of the Hart Family. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Stu Hart. Stu hart has trained many great wrestlers in his lifetime that includes world champs like Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and Edge. Bret Hart was trained hard by his father in the famous Hart Dungeon. He was an amateur wrestler in school. He started with Stampede Wrestling which was owned by his father. He also wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

In 1984, Bret Hart joined WWE. His introduction formed the Hart Foundation with his brother in law Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. They defeated the British Bulldogs for their first of two WWE Tag Team Championships. The team split as he focused on singles championships in the 90’s. Bret Hart won his first Intercontinental Championship is 1991 by defeating Mr. Perfect. Bret Hart won his first WWE Championship by defeating Ric Flair in 1992. He lost the title to Yokozuna at WrestleMania IX. He won the 1993 King of the Ring tournament in 1991 and 1993. He is the only wrestler to win two King of the Ring tournaments. He then had a major feud the Jerry “The King” Lawler for the title of King. He then had feuds with Yokozuna and his brother Owen started to show up on his side.

Later Owen Hart betrayed his brother and the two had clashes. He won the royal rumble in 1994 and won the world championship at WrestleMania that year from Yokuzuna. He lost the title to Bob Buckland because of Owen. He regained the title back by defeating Diesel. In 1996, he lost the title at WrestleMania in an iron man match to Shawn Michaels. The match went on to sudden death because no one got a pin in the 60 minutes. Shawn Michaels superkicked bret for the championship. He then had major feuds with The Undertaker, Stone Cold stevd Austin and Sycho Sid. He did nor likt the Attitude Era in real life. Hart started to feud with Vince McMahon during 1997.

In reality WWE was in a financial crisis and could not afford to keep up to Bret Hart’s contract. Vince suggested him to contact WCW for a contract. Bret Hart did not want to leave WWE but he got a three year contract from WCW. His final match was set in Montreal and would be against his real life rival Shawn Michaels. That match would turn on to become the infamous Montreal Screwjob. He did not want to lose to Shawn Michaels in Canada for his last match with WWE. Vince agreed to The Hitman’s idea to forfeit the title or lost to someone else. This resulted in McMahon interrupting their match and decided to give Michaels the win by submission. Bret Hart did not submit but the referee rang the bell on McMahon’s order. This followed by Bret spitting on McMahon’s face. Bret Hart then left WWE and Joined WCW. He joined as a good guy because of the fan support but turned his very soon.

In 1999 he won his first WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He previously won the US Championship 4 times. He also won the WCW Tag Team Championship with Goldberg. He was severely injured in a match against injured. That injury forced his to retirement in 2000. Bret Hart said that Goldberg was a good hearted man but working with him result in injury. He retired as a WCW Triple Crown Winner, WWE Triple Crown Winner and with 7 World Championship Reigns.

In 2006, he was inducted into WWE Hall of Fame. But he did not attend the ceremony. He later returned to WWE in 2009 and started an onscreen feud with Vince McMahon. After that he won the United States Championship. He also became the general manager of Raw. He again retired in 2010. His younger brother Owen Hart was also a Professional wrestler.
