Jamie Carragher is retired English football player. He has spent his entire senior career playing for the legendary English team Liverpool. He has appeared in 508 Premiere League matches with club. Jamie Carragher was born in Merseyside, England. He was born on 28 January 1978. He was a fan of Everton whiles growing. Everton is the Mersyside rivals of Liverpool. His father was also an Everton fan. He went to the Liverpool academy as a kid. He played youth football with both Everton and Liverpool.

Jamie Carragher made his first-team debut for Liverpool in 1997. Carragher broke into the first team in the 1997–98 season. Under Rafael Benitez he became one of the best defenders in Europe. He was a crucial member of the Champions League winning team of 2005. On 7 February 2013 declared that he would retire at the end of the season. On 19 May, 2013, Carragher played his 737th and final game for Liverpool. He was honored with a guard of honor. On 28 April 1999, he earned his first cap for the senior England team. He retired from international football after 2010 FIFA World Cup. He has been the deputy for Steven Gerrard for 10 years. He was the captain for Liverpool on his 500th appearance.

Jamie Carragher is married to his childhood sweetheart Nicola Hart. He has two children. He is regarded a Liverpool legend at Anfield.
