Luis Suarez is an Uruguayan international football player. He is currently playing for Spanish giantsFC Barcelona. He has been the European Top Scorer and European Golden Boot Winner in 2013. He has previously played for Ajax and Liverpool. He is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.

Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz or known as Suarez was born in Salto, Uruguay on January 24th, 1987. He is fourth of seven children born to his parents. Luis Suarez moved with his family to Montevideo when he was seven, and his parents separated when he was nine.

Luis Suarez joined local side Nacional’s youth team at the age of 14. He helped Nacional win the 2005–06 Uruguayan league with 10 goals in 27 games. Groningen paid Nacional €800,000 for him. He moved to Groningen. In 2007, Ajax offered €7.5 million and Groningen accepted the deal. He became the Dutch Footballer of the Year while in Ajax. He scored 111 goals in 159 appearances. He then moved to Liverpool for 22.8 million Euros. He was the clubs most expensive signing at the time. He had a successful run with Liverpool. He won the European Golden Boot with the Club. He later accepted a deal from Barcelona to be closer to his wife. He was signed for £75 million. He is currently one the the three forwards at Barcelona with Messi and Neymar. Luis Suarez made his senior debut for Uruguay on 8 February 2007. He has been played in the 2010 World Cup. He got a red card for intentional hand ball in the Quaterfinals agains Ghana. He recieved a Ban for that.

Luis Suarez has been in lots of controversies. From headbutting referee to biting other players on the field. He has also been banned for racial abuse to Patrice Evra. He is married to his long time girlfriend Sofiya Balbi. The couple lives in Barcelona. Luis Suarez is regarded as one of the best forwards in the world. He has won the Champions League with Barcelona. He has also won the Uruguayan League, Dutch League and Also the Spanish League during his career.
