Geri Halliwell was born at Watford General Hospital, Hertfordshire on August 6, 1972 to Laurence Francis Halliwel and Ana María. She was educated at Watford Grammar School for Girls and Camden School for Girls. Before starting her music career, Halliwell had worked as a nightclub dancer in Majorca. She also worked as a glamour model. At the age of 19, she appeared in The Sun as a Page 3 girl. In 1994 Halliwell, along with Melanie Chisholm, Mel B, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton formed the Spice Girls. Their single Wannabe became no.1 in 37 countries. She also has a successful solo career. Her single Its Raining Men hit no.1 in the UK Charts.
