Fernando Torres

Fernando Torres is a Spanish international Footballer. He is one of the best strikers produced in Spain. He currently plays for Athletico Madrid. He has previously played for Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan.

Fernando Torres was born on March 20, 1984 in a Madrid Community in Spain. In 1995 he joined the youth teams of Athletico Madrid. Torres started his career with Atlético Madrid, progressing through their youth system to the first team squad. He made his first team debut in 2001 and finished his time at the club having scored 75 goals in 174 La Liga appearances. In 2007 he moved to Liverpool and became an international sensation. He later was transferred to Chelsea for British record of £50 million. His form dropped after the move. He was loaned to AC Milan later sold to them in 2015. He is currently back at Athletico from AC Milan.

Fernando Torres was part of the Spanish national team which won the Euro 2008 and FIFA World Cup 2010. He has scored 38 goals for Spain. He married Olalla Domínguez Liste on 27 May 2009. The couple have two children. He has been nicknamed El Niño.
