Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States and the first U.S. President from the baby boomer generation. He previously served as Governor of Arkansas. During the administration of Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history.

William Jefferson Clinton or William Jefferson Blythe III, better known as Bill Clinton, was born on August 19, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas. His father, William Jefferson Blythe, Jr. (1918–1946), was a traveling salesman who died in an automobile accident three months before Clinton was born. His mother, Virginia Dell (née Cassidy; 1923–1994), traveled to New Orleans to study nursing soon after he was born. on October 11, 1975, he married Hillary Rodham. Their only child, Chelsea Victoria Clinton, was born on February 27, 1980.

After leaving the White House, President Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation, and today, the renamed Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, works to improve global health and wellness, increase opportunity for girls and women, reduce childhood obesity, create economic opportunity and growth, and help communities address the effects of climate change.
