Yvonne Jaqueline Strzechowski, known professionally as Yvonne Strahovski, is an Australian actress. In May 2012 she was ranked #35 in Maxim’s Hot 100 of 2012. She is best known for playing CIA agent Sarah Walker in the NBC television series Chuck from 2007 until 2012. She also appeared as Hannah McKay in the Showtime series Dexter from 2012 until 2013. Her movie roles include Killer Elite (2011), The Guilt Trip (2013) and I, Frankenstein (2014). She also played Miranda Lawson in the Mass Effect video games and CIA agent Kate Morgan in 24: Live Another Day.
Yvonne Strahovski was born in Werrington Downs, New South Wales, Australia on 30 July 1982. Her parents had emigrated from Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland. She speaks Polish and English. She attended the Santa Sabina College for her high school education. She then went on to study Performance at the University of Western Sydney’s School of Contemporary Arts, graduating in 2003.
She started her career in Australia appearing in film and TV roles. In 2007, she made her big-screen debut in Gone (2006). This performance caught the attention of casting directors in Hollywood.
