Trine Dyrholm is a Danish actress, singer and songwriter. She starred in In China They Eat Dogs, The Celebration, En Soap and Offscreen, among others. Trine was born on April 15, 1972 in Odense, Denmark. She has worked as an actor, a singer, an opera singer and a songwriter, and her current occupation is a songwriter. Dyrholm received national attention when she placed third in the Danish, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix as a 14-year-old singer. Danish actress Trine Dyrholm began a string of award-winning performances at the age of 18, appearing in the film ‘Spring Tide‘ (Springflod – 1994), for which she received the prestigious Danish Critic Association Award, the Bodil – an award she has gone to win five times, the only actor ever to have done so. Dyrholm played the female lead in Susanne Bier‘s Academy Award-winning ‘In a Better World’. For that performance, Dyrholm won both a Bodil and a Robert for Best Leading Actress.
