Satish Shah is an Indian film actor and comedian. He appeared in a lot of Hindi and Marathi films as well as many other TV serials. Though he is mainly famous for his outstanding comic roles, he also appeared in many significant serious roles in many Hindi films.

Early Life

Satish born on 25 June in 1951 in Mumbai, India. He has two siblings named Madhuri and Natwar. He completed his school and graduation level in Mumbai.

Career

Satish first appeared in Hindi film world by acting in many small roles. He first appeared in a devotional film named ‘Bhagwan Parshuram’ in 1970. By this film, he first stepped in Hindi film industry. Then he appeared in ‘Arvind Desai ki Ajeeb Dastaan’ (1978), ‘Gaman’ (1979), ‘Umrao Jaan’ (1981), ‘Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai’ (1981), ‘Shakti’ (1982), ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ (1983), ‘Amrit’ (1986), ‘Anokha Rishta’ (1986).

In the late 80’s his film career gradually became more successful. From then he appeared in ‘Kalyug Aur Ramayan’ (1987), ‘Jaan Hatheli Pe’ (1987), ‘Param Dharam’ (1987), ‘Ek Hi Maqsad’ (1988), ‘Peecha Karo’ (1988), ‘Maalamaal’ (1988), ‘Aage Ki Soch’ (1988), ‘Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani’ (1988). And also in ‘Hero Hiralal’ (1988), ‘Shakti’ (1989), ‘Ardh Satya’ (1989), ‘Mohan Joshi Hazir ho!’ (1989), ‘Bhagwan Dada’ (1989), ‘Ghar Mein Ram GaliMein Shyam’ (1989), ‘Gharwali Baharwali’ (1989), ‘Bade Ghar Ki Beti’ (1989), ‘Sachche Ka Bol Bala’ (1989), ‘Meri Laalkar’ (1990) and ‘Hatim Tai’ (1990).

By the starting of the 90’s Satish Became a well-established actor in Bollywood. He appeared in ‘Benam Badshah’ (1991), ‘Dilwale Kabhi Na Hare’ (1992), ‘Aashiq Awara’ (1993), ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ (1994). Then he also appeared in ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ (1995), ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’ (1996), ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ (1998) and ‘Kaho Naa Pyar Hain’ (2000). His appearance as an actor is still going on today.

Personal Life

In personal life, he married Madhu Shah but the couple got divorced later. Satish Shah won ITA Award for Best Comedy Actor and Indian Telly Award for Best Comic Role Actor.
