K M Mosharraf Hossain, widely known as Mosharraf Karim is a renowned Bangladeshi TV and film actor. Mosharraf generally acts more frequently in Dramas and Drama serials, than in Bengali films. Some of his most famous work is Television (2012), Third Person Singular Number (2009), Jalaler Golpo (2014), Daruchini Dwip (2007), Sikandar Box and many others. Television (2012) became Bangladesh’s selection for the Academy Awards’ Best Foreign Language Film category.
Early Life of Mosharraf Karim
Karim was born into a Bengali family in Khilgaon, Dhaka on August 22, 1972. His home district is Barisal, but he raised in Dhaka. He completed his SSC in 1986. He expressed his acting skill developed through his early work in school theater. After SSC exam, Karim joined the theater troupe “Nattokendro” and worked for 15 years continuously. After over a decade in theater, Karim emerged on the small screen in 1999, with the single-episode TV play Otithi, directed by Ferdous Hasan and aired on Channel I.
Career of Mosharraf Karim
Most famous for his starring roles in the Bangladeshi series Housefull, Sakin Sarisuri, Family & Friends, and Aim in Life, Mosharraf Karim began his acting career as a theater performer, working for a decade and a half with a Bangladeshi stage company called Natyakendro. In 2004, he played two important roles in two different television works. One of those roles included the popular telefilm Kyarom, where he performed with co-artist Nusrat Imroz Tisha.
In 2009, he acted in his first film Third Person Singular Number, with co-artist Nusrat Imroz Tisha. He acted in his first drama serial 420 aired on Channel I. Anik was the main star. After this, he worked in the two drama serials, Vober Hat and Ghor Kutum. Karim also acted with Bengali film Daruchini Dip directed by Tauquir Ahmed.
He has been married to Robena Reza Jui since October 7, 2004. They have one child.
