Melanie C is a British singer. She is best known for being a member of the Spice Girls. She was known as the Sporty Spice. She also has a successful single career. She has the second most UK Chart topping singles by a female artist.

Melanie C was born as Melanie Jayne Chisholm on 12 January 1974 in Whiston, Merseyside. She attended Fairfield High School. Following school, she studied for a diploma course in dance, singing, drama, and musical theatre. She left college just short of completing her three-year course and joined the spice girls along with  Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham. Chisholm took her first steps in establishing a solo career by singing Bryan Adams on “When You’re Gone“. She has cited Madonna as her biggest musical influence.

Melanie C was in a relationship with property developer Thomas Starr. On 22 February 2009, Chisholm gave birth to her daughter Scarlet at the Portland Hospital in London. She has 12 tattoos. She has a £1 million country home in Catbrook, Monmouthshire. She supports the local Liverpool FC in English Premiere League.
