Meena Kumari

Begum Mahajabeen Bano was an Indian movie actress and poet. She was born on 1 August 1932 at Bombay. Her father Ali Baksh was a musician. Also, he was a veteran of Parsi theater, played harmonium, taught music, and wrote Urdu poetry. Her mother Iqbal Begum was a stage actress and dancer. She was the second wife of Ali Baksh.
She started her film career with the film Leatherface on 1939.She became the first actress to win the Filmfare Best Actress Award in 1953. In her film career she acted in more than 90 films. On 31 March 1972 she died.
