Katrina Kaif is a British Indian actress & former model who appears in Indian films, mainly in the Hindi language film industry. She has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut with Kaizad Gustad‘s box office failure erotic heist film Boom in 2003. She then played the titular princess in the Telugu film Malliswari (2004). Kaif had her first success in Bollywood when she appeared opposite Salman Khan in David Dhawan‘s romantic comedy Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?.
Katrina Kaif was born on July 16, 1984, in British Hong Kong. She spent subsequent years in Hawaii, and then in London, Britain. Katrina Kaif (कैटरीना कैफ) is one of eight siblings (a brother and six sisters), from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and a father who was formerly from Kashmir, India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.
She started modeling accidentally when she was in Hawaii at the tender age of 14 when she was approached for a jewelry campaign. Thereafter she continued modeling in London. KAT was voted the sexiest Asian woman in the world by Eastern Eye in the years 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011. Katrina Kaif was flooded with modeling assignments the minute she set her foot on Indian soil, especially with her innocent expressive face, hour-glass figure and drop-dead gorgeous looks. Being a British citizen, Katrina Kaif works in India on an employment visa.
The 2006 musical romance Humko Deewana Kar Gaye saw Kaif pair opposite Akshay Kumar for the first of many films, though the film was a critical and financial failure.
