Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal is an Indian film actress, who mainly appears in South Indian cinema. She has established a career in the Telugu and Tamil film industries and has been nominated for four Filmfare Awards South. In addition to acting, Kajal participates in stage shows and is a celebrity endorser for brands and products.

Early Life

Kajal Aggarwal was born on 19 June 1985 and brought up in a Punjabi family settled in Mumbai. Her father Vinay Aggarwal, is an entrepreneur in the textile business and her mother Suman Aggarwal is a confectioner,[2] and also Kajal’s business manager. Kajal has a younger sister Nisha Aggarwal, an actress in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, who is now married to Karan Valecha (Managing director Golds gyms, Asia).

Kajal pursued her studies in Mumbai and started her career in acting while she was still in the college. A glazing body with a sexy smile and shining eyes helped her to capture eyes of many directors and producers.

Education

She studied at St. Anne’s High School, fort and completed her pre-university education at Jai Hind College. She pursued her graduation in mass media, with specialization in marketing and advertising, from Kishinchand Chellaram College. Having harboured MBA dreams all through her growing years, she intends to achieve a post-graduation degree soon.

Career

Kajal made her acting debut in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun… Ho Gaya Na!, in which she enacted a minor supporting role as the friend of Diya (Aishwarya Rai).

She later signed up P. Bharathiraja’s Tamil film Bommalattam, which was to have been her first film in that language, but it was delayed. Aggarwal debuted in Telugu cinema with Lakshmi Kalyanam (2007), which was her first film as a lead actress but failed. Telugu film Chandamama became her first major successful film.

In 2009 “Magadheera” which was the biggest blockbuster of all time in Telugu cinema, she played the role of Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi and Indira (Indu) by which she became one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu film industry. With many box office hits in such a short span, Kajal Agarwal indeed is seen as a next superstar of Indian film industry.

She subsequently starred in Telugu films such as Darling (2010), Brindavanam (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), Businessman (2012), Naayak (2013), Baadshah (2013), Govindudu Andarivadele (2014), Temper (2015) and Khaidi No. 150 (2017).
