Joe Montana is a resigned American football quarterback. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. In the wake of winning a school national title at Notre Dame, Montana began his NFL profession in 1979 with San Francisco, where he played for the following 14 seasons. Exchanged before the 1993 season, he put in his last two years in the association with the Kansas City Chiefs
While an individual from the 49ers, Montana began and won four Super Bowls and was the principal player ever to have been named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player three times. Montana was chosen to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000, his first year of qualification.
