Isabella Fiorella Elettra Giovanna Rossellini batter known as Isabella Rossellini, the Italian actress, Writer, & Model. She has performed in many movies. She has written a lot of books. She is also a philanthropist. Isabella Rossellini is noted for her successful tenure as a Lancôme model, and for her roles in films such as Blue Velvet (1986) and Death Becomes Her (1992). Rossellini also received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance in Crime of the Century (1996). She kicked off the 1990s by appearing in the controversial David Lynch film Wild at Heart.

Born in a showbiz family, Isabella Rossellini was destined to be in the show business since her birth. Isabella was one of the twin daughters born (on 18 June 1952 in Rome) to neo realist master director Roberto Rossellini and three time Oscar winning actress Ingrid Bergman. She is 34 minutes older than twin sister Isotta Rossellini.

She was also the third wife of Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese from 1979 to 1982 and the partner of legendary director David Lynch. In 1994 Rossellini settled into a relationship with Gary Oldman, but they separated two years later.

As the offspring of a torrid celebrity liaison herself, it’s only natural that Isabella Rossellini oozes sex appeal — and that it can get her into trouble. After growing up in Italy, Isabella Rossellini came to the United States when she was 19 and studied at Finch College and the New School for Social Research in New York City. In spite of she has made her home in America since 1979 holds both citizenship (Italian and American). She is of Italian and Swedish descent.

At the age of 28, her modeling career began. Her modeling work led to her being offered the position of the exclusive spokesperson for the cosmetics brand Lancôme, a gig that lasted 14 years, until she was unceremoniously replaced due to her age. Before fame, she worked as a translator and a television reporter for RAI. In October 1992, Rossellini modelled for Madonna’s controversial book Sex. Rossellini made her film debut with a brief appearance as a nun opposite her mother in the 1976 film A Matter of Time. In 1997, she was nominated for an Emmy Award as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for a guest appearance on Chicago Hope (1994). She has made over 50 other films, including Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, and Big Night.

In addition to her work as an actress, Isabella Rossellini is also known for her activism. She holds prominent roles in such groups as the Wildlife Conservation Network, the George Eastman House, and the Central Park Conservancy.
