Irina Sharipova is a Russian fashion model, beauty pageant winner who was Miss Tatarstan 2010 and first runner-up in Miss Russia 2010. She represented Russia in Miss World 2010 on October 30, 2010 in Sanya, China, and placed in the top 25 Semifinals.
Irina Sharipova was born on 7 February 1992. She was raised for seven years in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Aged seven, she relocated to her grandmother in the village of Sviyazhskiy, Apastovsky District, Tatarstan. Her mother Elena Sharipova, has also achieved success in beauty contests. Sharipova then moved to Kazan to study at the Kazan State Technical University, specializing in fashion design, and plans to finish her studies.
On December 2, 2014, for the first time, Irina Sharipova took part in the final show of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014 in London, along with another former Miss Russia contestant and model, Kate Grigorieva. At the national contest for “Miss Tatarstan”, Sharipova entered by accident. On a shopping trip, she came to look at the contestants in the qualifying round and was spotted by the organizers, who picked her out of the crowd and persuaded her to audition. With no experience in pageants and modeling, she was surprised to win Miss Tatarstan title on January 31, 2010.
