Diane Kruger is a German-born actress and ex-fashion model. She appeared in many numerous films. She achieved popularity for her outstanding acting performance in films like Tory (2004), National Treasure (2004), Inglorious Bastards (2009), Unknown (2011) etc.
Diane Kruger born on 15 July in 1976 in Algermissen, former West Germany. Her father Hans-Heinrich Heidkruger was a computer specialist and mother Maria-Teresa was a bank employee. Her family was Catholic by belief. She also brought up as a Roman Catholic believer. From childhood, she was very eager to become a ballet performer. As a matter of fact, she went to the Royal Ballet School in London, but she had to leave it after getting injured. Then she moved to Paris and started learning French. Her career as a model also started in France.
Kruger first appeared in a TV film in 2002. It was a Jean-Pierre Roux film named The Piano Player. She also appeared in films like Michel Valliant in 2003 and Wicker Park in 2004. But she enjoyed her first major appearance in movie Troy in 2004 which brought her huge worldwide stardom. That year she also appeared in the film National Treasure in which Nicholas Cage starred. In 2006 she appeared in Copying Beethoven.
One of Kruger’s greatest success was her appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s film Inglorious Bastards in 2009. She acted in this film as an actress come Allied spy in Nazi Germany. She achieved Golden Globe Award and Screen Actor’s Guild nominations for the best supporting role. Diane also achieved much admiration from critics as she appeared in the film Mr. Nobody in 2009.
In personal life, Kruger showed much disinclination towards matrimonial life. She married French Director Guillaume Canet in 2001 but the relationship ended in 2006. In the same year, she started dating actor Joshua Jackson.
