Daniel Bryan is a retired American professional Wrestler. He is best known for his time in WWE. He is one of the best technical wrestler in WWE history. He is a former 4 time World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time United States Champion, 1 time Tag Team Champion and 1 time Intercontinental Champion. He created the yes movement.

Early Life

Daniel Bryan was born as Bryan Lloyd Danielson on May 22, 1981. He was born and raised in Aberdeen, Washington. His father was a logger and mother was a therapist. They divorced when he was young. He competed in various sports at Aberdeen-Weatherwax High School including football. After he graduated from high school in 1999, he decided to pursue wrestling professionally. He trained under Shawn Michaels and Rudy Gonzalez at the Texas Wrestling Academy.

Career

In 2000, Daniel Bryan was given a development contract by WWE. He was sent to Memphis Championship Wrestling. He was trained by William Regal.  After release from WWE he joined Ring of Honor. He won the ROH Heavyweight Championship. He returned to WWE in 2019 as a part of NXT. He was later fired for being too violent on TV. However he was later re hired in 2011. This run with the company would be his best run. He won his first Heavyweight Championship in 2011 by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.  He became a fan favorite with Kane as he formed Team Hell No. They won the Tag Team Championship. After that he started a rivalry with The Authority and started the Yes Movement. He became one of the main stars of WWE. He main evented WrestleMania XXX. He started the event by defeating Triple H. He also closed the event by defeating Batista and Randy Orton in a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He won the WWE Intercontinental Championship the following Wrestlemania. He had to vacate the title due to injury. This injury would lead to his retirement on February 8, 2016.

Personal Life

Daniel Bryan married WWE Diva Brie Bella, with whom he had been in a relationship for nearly three years. He performed on Raw the day his Father died and left after performing. Danielson described his WrestleMania XXX victories and his marriage shortly after as high points in his professional and personal life. He cannot swim due to a ruptured eardrum. He is a fan of Premiere League clum Everton.
